Blue Moon Fiber Arts, Marine Silk Fingering: Chana Masala
A fingering weight combination of cultivated silk, extrafine merino and sea cell provide a soft, drapey yarn with an exquisite sheen. Sea cell is a plant based fiber that doesn't take the dye, giving the finished skein a luminous quality. Try this yarn for special shawls and scarves.
Dyer's color notes: Chana Masala is a really beautiful name for curried chick peas--one of my favorite Indian dishes. I layerd the colors in this skein in order to get the richness and textures. The earthy brown of mustard seeds and orange gold of tumeric and then the chickpeas themselves. I can predict that knitting or spinning this colorway is going to be a problem for me that will only be solvable with some masala.
