Schaefer, Anne: Memorable Knitters Series, Dorothy Reade
Hand dyed in small batches by artisans in Interlaken, New York, this colorway is part of Schaefer's Memorable Knitter's Collection. Reade's most noteworthy contribution to the knitting world was her lace charting system- revolutionary in the 1970's.
The mohair in this yarn gives a slightly fuzzy halo and makes for an oh-so-soft fabric. It makes beautiful socks as well as lace.
