All prices in the store are US dollars. Our system can process orders from many countries because we accept Visa, Mastercard, Paypal and personal checks- checks only from US addresses. Your payment information will be processed when your item is shipped. You can access and print your invoice by visiting the customer service page and entering your order tracking number. Your invoice is also e-mailed after you confirm your order. If you pay by check, we will wait to mail your order until check is received and cleared. We will hold your order for 5 business days; if we have not received payment we will cancel the order.
When you enter your credit card number, you are also asked for a card security code. A security code is a three digit number, usually on the back of your card, at the very right of the signature line. If you are unsure, contact your credit card company or visit their website for clarification. We ask for this number for your protection; to help ensure that the card is actually in the hands of the person using it. If the number is not correct, your card will be declined.
Special Orders Policy
If you are looking for a specific item that you do not see on our site, please e-mail your request to email@example.com. We are happy to research its availability and get back to you.
Buying yarn on the internet should not cause you any worry about color or texture. That is why, if you would like to return yarn within 30 days of purchase, please feel free to do so. Below is our 3-step return procedure:
1. All yarn to be returned must be unopened or untampered with. We ask that all returns be preceded with an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. In this e-mail, please indicate your name, address, item you would like to return and date purchased.
2. You will receive an e-mail from us indicating your Return Merchandise Number and the address to which you should mail your return. You will not receive a refund for any shipping cost you paid to receive the item, and you will also incur the cost of shipping the returned item back to us. Insuring the returned item is also recommended, as we do not give refunds for items that do not reach us.
3. You will receive credit back on your credit card, Paypal account, or via refund check.
We are unable to accept returns of knitting needles, patterns or books.
United States: For any purchase under $85.00, SSYC charges $6.00 for shipping via US Postal Service Priority Mail. We aim to ship within 2 days of receiving your order. Priority mail takes 2-3 days to arrive, so you should expect to receive your order within 3-5 business days of ordering. Please allow an extra 2 business days during weeks of US holidays.
For any purchase over $85.00, your Priority Mail shipping is free to US addresses!
Canada: SSYC charges $12.50 for shipping any size/weight package to Canada, using USPS mail until it reaches the border. Canadian customers MUST choose the shipping option marked "Global-Outside of US" at check out, or orders will not be processed. Shipping will take approximately 6-8 business days.
United Kingdom, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Israel, Luxembourg, Sweden and Finland, France, Indonesia, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain: For purchases going to these countries, shipping is $16.50, which takes 4-6 days. Customers living in these countires must choose the "Global-Outside of US" at check out.
Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong: Shipping to these countires is $17.50 per order, which will take approximately 4-6 days. You must choose the shipping option marked "Global- Outside of US" at check out, or orders will not be processed.
