Manos Del Uruguay, the Hands of Uruguay, is a non profit organization which assembles women in cooperatives scattered throughout the countryside of Uruguay. The aim of this World Fair Trade Organization is to bring economic and social opportunities to rural women.
Alegria ("joy in Spanish) is a wonderfully soft sock yarn handpainted to create a celebration of color in every skein. Each kit comes with a full sized multicolor that tends to pool in color in an interesting and artistic manor. The coordinating mini is great for toes and heels.
Size: Full sized skein is 445 yds/100 grams. Mini skein is 89 yards, 20 grams.
Content: 75% superwash merino, 25% polyamide
Gauge: 7-8 sts = 1" on US 1-3
Care: Machine wash cool, dry flat
